Medicare program and benefit information. Some valuable features of this site include
search tools that assist users in identifying and comparing Medicare coverage options,
Medigap insurance carriers, and nursing homes throughout the country. Users may
also access information on health-care fraud, general health and a glossary of terms
commonly used in the health-care and insurance industries.
Center for Medical
Consumers
The Center for Medical Consumers (CMC) is a non-profit advocacy organization active
in both statewide and national efforts to improve the quality and availability of
health care. Visitors to this site may access information concerning procedure volume
in New York State hospitals and by New York State physicians (a quality measurement),
position statements on health care policy issues of interest to consumers. The site
also contains portions of the Center's monthly newsletter, "HealthFacts."

American Heart Association
